Well Hello Dahlia!

Hello Everyone!!  Another week has flown by and here we are at another Power Poppy Friday!  I don't know about you but I'm looking forward to seeing what my fellow Bloomies have been creating this week and inspire me for World Cardmaking Day tomorrow!  I actually started colouring this image last week but finally finished it off and turned it into a card this week.  Don't you just love this gorgeous dahlia image?!  Well Hello Dahlia is a digi stamp and comes with three images and two sentiments and it's fun to colour too!

So I started by printing the image and sentiment from Well Hello Dahlia onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with lots of Copic Markers.  I then cut it out with Labels 40 and matted with Sweet Sugarplum cut with Labels 40 Decorative Elements.  I then created the base of Kraft card and layered with Sweet Sugarplum and Maja Designs DP.  Around these I've added two pieces of ribbon and the popped the image up on foam tape.  To finish I've added a few pearls to the corner.

Stamps - Well Hello Dahlia (Power Poppy)
Ink - Printer
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Sweet Sugarplum, Kraft, Maja Designs DP
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Labels 40 and Labels 40 Decorative Elements, Ribbon, Chino Pearls, X-press It High Tack Foam Tape

Don't miss the other Bloomies and see what they've been creating this week!
That's all from me today, thanks for popping by and hope you are inspired to stamp!

Beachy Photos

Hello Everyone!  Today I have a beachy card for you, this is one I had published a while ago using the Power Poppy clear stamp sets called Best Day Ever and Go Wild!  Here in Australia we are now well into Spring and the weather is warming up nicely, so I think it is definitely beach time!  What's it like in your neck of the woods?

I really loved the way this one turned out from the wave bottom with dies, to creating the photo with a Silhouette Download, adding some acetate and foam tape and adding 'sand' which was some brown flowersoft!  I airbrushed the scene inside creating a cloudy sky and ocean with Copic Markers and the Copic Airbrush System.  The surfboards were also cut using the Silhouette.  The sentiments are from Go Wild, the camera is from Best Day Ever which have been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics and then fussy cut and added a shown.  Add some twine and some silver pearls and you are good to go!

Stamps - Best Day Ever, Go Wild (Power Poppy)
Paper - Kraft, White, Aqua, Kaisercaft Tropical Punch DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Copic Airbrush System, Silhouette, Spellbinders, Twine, Oval Punch, Silver Pearls, Acetate

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp!

Dove Confirmation

Hello Everyone!  Today I have another Confirmation card that was made for one of the girls that was Confirmed with my son in August!  This time I've used the dove cross from Our Daily Bread Design's Confirmation set and given it a cleaner more elegant feel for the recipient.

I've started with a base of white, layered with Cherry Cobbler and topped with more white cut with Spellbinders A2 Divine Eloquence.  Around this I've attached some white crochet lace and white satin ribbon.  Next I've stamped the cross from Confirmation in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics.  This has been cut out with Spellbinders Labels 28 and in the space at the bottom I've stamped the recipient's name.  I've matted this with gold card cut with A2 Divine Eloquence and popped it up on X-press It High Tack Foam Tape and finished with a white bow.

Stamps - Confirmation (ODBD), Alphabet
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, White, Gold, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders      , White Crochet Lace, White Satin Ribbon, X-press It High Tack Foam Tape

That's all from me today, thanks for popping by and hope you are inspired to stamp!  :)

Black-eyed Susan

Hello Everyone!  It's Power Poppy Friday and today I'm using the brand new digi called Black-eyed Susan!  If you pop by the Power Poppy Blog you'll see there's a special on digi stamps - including this one!!!  It's one of five digital stamp sets that are on the Fab 5 Sale all weekend long!  Check out out:
Fall-Digi-Sale-Bundle

Don't miss it!!  I've tried something a little different and added a bit of shimmer paint around the Black-eyed Susans that have been coloured with Copics.  In real life the effect is a pretty shimmer, but I'm not sure I like it or not.  Perhaps I'm just used to using only Copics and not comfortable with the washy background.  Maybe it will grown on me!

I've used a base of cream and layered with Chocolate Chip and So Saffron cut with Valiant Honor.  This is topped with more Chocolate Chip.  On top of this is X-press It Blending Card which I printed the Black-eyed Susan and sentiment onto.  I've coloured the flowers with Copics and then splashed the shimmer paint around it.  I've then wrapped some ribbon around it and added a bow and a couple of rhinestones.

Stamps - Black-eyed Susan (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Cream, Chocolate Chip, So Saffron
Ink - Printer
Accessories - Copics, Shimmer Paint, Spellbinders Valiant Honor, Corner Punch, Ribbon, Bow Easy, Rhinestones

Swing by these blogs to see what the Bloomies have been creating this week!

That's all from me today, thanks for popping by and hope you are inspired to stamp!  :)

A Little Prairie Cheer

Hello Everyone!  Oh boy have we been sick here - it's been no fun at all and the coughing won't stop!  GAH!  When I finally crawled out of bed I started colouring up this pretty coneflower or echinacea which I thought was rather appropriate considering it's healing properties but it still took me a few more days to make it into a card.

For this one, I've used Power Poppy's recent release called Prairie Cheer, stamping the coneflower image and sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (RV00, RV52, RV63, RV66, G40, G43, G46, BV04, YG00, YR04, YR09, YR27).  This has been cut out with Oval Nestaiblites and matted with Rich Razzleberry cut with Elegant Ovals.  The  base of the card is some Sweet Sugarplum layered with River Rock and some Pion Design DP.  In the corneer of the DP I've stamped the sentiment, also from Prairie Cheer in black ink.  (Isn't that sentiment perfect to go with the Echinacea!!)  Down the side I've cut some River Rock with Flower Lattice Die and added some very pale green ribbon over the top.  To finish I've added a couple of pearls to the corner.

Stamps - Prairie Cheer (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry, River Rock, Pion Design DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Oval and Elegant Oval Dies, ODBD Flower Lattice Die, Pale Green Ribbon, Pearls, X-press It High Tack Foam Tape

That's all from me today, hope you are well in your part of the world and that you are inspired to stamp!  :)

Father's Day Trout

Hello Everyone!  It was Father's Day here in Australia last Sunday and I made this card for my Dad, which I had planned to have up on my blog on Sunday - unfortunately my daughter and I have been very sick for about 4 days so it's only going up now as we are finally starting to recover.

Dad loves anything to do with the water so I thought this Leaping Trout image would be perfect for him!  As it's a digital, I've put it and the matching sentiment together from Leaping Trout and printed it onto some X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (I would list the colours however I was starting to burn up with a fever of 39.5C/103F at that point and of course I didn't write them down - sorry about that!).  It's been cut out with a stitched rectangle die.  The base is made of Old Olive, white and some FabScraps Beach Bliss DP.  Around this I've added some Hessian (Burlap) ribbon and then popped the trout image up on X-press It Foam Tape.  To finish I've added some chocolate pearls to the top corner.

Stamps - Leaping Trout (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, White, Old Olive, FabScraps Beach Bliss DP
Ink - Printer
Accessories - Copics, Double Stitched Rectangle Die, Hessian Ribbon, Kaisercraft Chocolate Pearls, X-press It Foam Tape

That's all from me today, I'm hoping next time you pop by I'll be feeling a lot better and hope you are healthier than me and inspired to stamp!  :)
